![]() We started with the ribs and then asked for a steak salad. This was explained to us by our server at the beginning. The food comes out in large portions – meant for sharing at the table. The food was amazing! They have a pretty decent menu. This is a trendy but cozy design throughout the inside. It was a bit of a drive from the big city (Rochester), lol – but SOOOOO WORTH IT! The restaurant was not quite crowded when we arrived at 700p, but the bar was packed and hopping. Spouse and I visited here on a Friday night recently. S.O.S.: Shorts or Suit, come down and enjoy!!! Our well trained staff will make your selection approachable and fun. Our menus will changes with the seasons, our wood fire selections are cooked with real wood, our wine and micro brew selections are large and extensive. Definitely a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to come back and try some of the things we didn't get a chance to try this visit.Description: EMBER WOOD FIRE GRILL is a casual dining restaurant, occupying the old historic train station in the quaint village of Livonia in Livingston County, committed to a hospitality first attitude. Not so here!! Excellent chicken, fresh and fried to perfection!! And also.if the menu says, "creme brulee'", I'm ordering dessert!! It was wonderful!! It was nice to see families with children feeling comfortable to come here. You don't feel crowded and that is wonderful! Also.being a gal with southern roots, I adore good fried chicken! I am so tired of restaurants who advertise fried chicken and then pull something from the freezer that is already battered and throw it in their fryer. They have nice sized chairs that a person of size can be comfortable in and not worry about landing on the floor. Everything everyone has said about the wonderful food and "tapas style" dining is true and it makes it a really fun experience, but I would like to address something else. We always eat early, so we had no trouble getting seated, but I think this place fills up pretty good on a beautiful Friday night during the dining hour. My husband and I went here last night and were pleasantly surprised by the food and the service.
